So after some serious contemplation, we decided to start writing a monthly blog specifically on Altcoin Price Analysis in which we’ll be talking about the price trends of some popular altcoins like Ether, Litecoin and Dash.It’s going to be a short summary of all the ups and downs in the price movements encountered by these altcoins over the last month.So let’s move further and start the analysis with Bitcoin followed by the other altcoins.Bitcoin price had been on a roller coaster ride last month.

bitcoin mining essentialsThere was a slight decline in BTC price in the first week of month which was supposedly due to Dr. Craig Wright’s claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto.

The price abruptly fell down to $440 in the first week of May but it got back on track soon after and reached close to $460 within the next few days.The following week, BTC price got stagnant for a while and the price movements went extremely sluggish.For the next few days, the percentage change in the BTC value was even less than 0.5%.By the end of this month, BTC price literally exploded and it reached an all time high for the last two years which was around $537.The BTC price was reported to be $531.80 as of May 31, 2016.The Ether Price suffered a bit at the beginning of last month when it remained below $10 for the first few days.The price remained stagnant for nearly two weeks, the price movements being less than one percent.But by the end of the third week, the ETH price showed some signs of brisk movements, the price continued to rise and it was reportedly close to $15 by the end of third week.The last week of May was quite spirited and the ETH price kept on fluctuating in notable fractions.

The price again fell down to around 10-11 USD and then again rose, reaching close to $14.As of May 31, 2016, the ETH price was reported to be $14.02.Litecoin price also showed similar trends starting from low and then uprising slowly.The lowest LTC price was reported to be $3.72 in the first week of May and the highest LTC price was reportedly $4.726 in the last week.The above chart explicitly shows the entire history of LTC price movements over the last month.As of 31st May, the LTC price was closed somewhere around $4.61.The Dash price started from as low as $6.67 but then it went through an abrupt rise the following weeks.It followed a zig-zag path initially, going up and down for the first few days as shown in the below chart.But from the third week onwards, Dash price rose drastically and within next few days, it reached the month’s apex which was around $8.434.Even after that, the price movements kept varying considerably.And the month turned out well for Dash eventually with its price closing at $8.194 by the end of the month.
