I use dcri 40, and ethi 16, with downclocked memory (to 1125mhz) and this seems optimal.I'm actually keeping my DCR and staking it, but that's another story.0 Marvell9 593 May 2016 @bitcanuck not sure what your settings are but i average around around 37,623,087 khson the pool with my 1900ghs or so of amd hash.however you are right according to the calculator i should make around 25 or so DCR a day but looking at the last weeks payouts i got only 133 for the whole weekI run the minimal DCR settings though around 30 dcri for all my boxes 40 on some of my 390 rigs that are already heavily undervoltted and i get the same hash rate as Eth only , temps up around 5 degree power usage per rig up by maybe 100 watts ( barely visible on the PDU though)so i last week with 133 dcr mined i got an extra $203 usd hmm i see what youre saying might not be worth the load on the GPUs this week my servers are running more stable , if i dont get at least close to the 25 DCR per day ill probably go solo as well.
0 rether 257 May 2016 0 cpluscote 86 May 2016 Brilliant well organized test results @n0123210n !I'm running a couple of 290x rigs and I've found relatively the same results.(mine do suck up a little more juice)I've been mining on zpool with better results than I had on pool.mn.It's nice that they payout in BTC instead of decred.Saves me some time.0 dominus 35 May 2016 bitcanuck said:I did a 12-hour test with zpool and a R9 380.Although the miner reports ~313Mh/s for DCR, I never saw even half of that at the pool. For 12 hours of mining dcr I earned less than 1c.Shares were over 1300 and rejects were only 4.I had to force diff to 4 with zpool by adding -dpsw d=4 0 dominus 35 May 2016 bitcanuck said: dominus said:I had to force diff to 4 with zpool by adding -dpsw d=4 Thanks. That makes a big difference. After almost an hour was getting 270-290 showing at the pool.Trying d=6 now to see if that gets me over 300.
My poor single 390 is hashing dcr with 745Mh but zpool with the default settings was showing around 1/4 of that. With diff 4 it shows something around 720Mh on average.I just miss some more miners to increase the pool's hashrate... 0 cpluscote 86 May 2016 0 Marvell9 593 May 2016 0 Dr_House86 564 May 2016 0 work 2,077 May 2016 @cplusnote what clocks are you using? My 290s seem best at 42 dcri.0 cpluscote 86 May 2016 @work My 290x's are 1095core 1050mem.The ETH hashrate really doesn't drop at all until over 55-60 and at 65 it only drops from a max of 308MH/s to 302MH/s.0 work 2,077 May 2016 cpluscote said:@work My 290x's are 1095core 1050mem.What drivers and firmware are you running?0 dominus 35 May 2016 0 cpluscote 86 May 2016 @work I haven't messed with the firmware at all.I'm running the 15.12 driver.0 bbcoin 376 May 2016 May 20160 work 2,077 May 2016 @bbcoin I observed the opposite, over weeks of usage and comparison.
I consistently get more submitted shares with claymore, and my effective hashrate is within a few percent of reported hashrate.Beware of lame DCR pools, some of them seem to have terrible payouts for some reason.0 Dr_House86 564 May 2016 0 bbcoin 376 May 2016 work said:@bbcoin I observed the opposite, over weeks of usage and comparison.Dr_House86 said:I can say the same.I get with the claymore miner (ETH only) a better hashrate and it is very stable.Ok fine, how about the power draw and temperature ?0 work 2,077 May 2016 @bbcoin power and temperature increased slightly. The additional decred mining profits have been close (70% probably) to paying for entire rig power.0 cpluscote 86 May 2016 @bbcoin at $0.17/kwh for my power the dual miner is still very worth it to me.The power bill difference is probably + $40-$60 per month, but the decred is + $250-$280 per month. It's an easy decision.0 Marvell9 593 May 2016 0 bbcoin 376 May 2016 0 Dr_House86 564 May 2016 0 n0123210n 9 May 2016 0 work 2,077 May 2016 @n0123210n I get ~1% DCR rejects.
